 This 2 days Rwanda gorilla trekking safari is a brief but thrilling safari, it involves travelling to Rwanda volcanoes National park, home to Rwanda’s mountain gorillas and there after Rwanda’s gorillas . The park is part of the greater Virunga massif area that encompasses, Virunga National park in Congo.  

Brief travel plan.

Day 1: Kigali city tour, transfer to volcanoes national park.

Day 2: gorilla trekking and transfer back to Kigali.

Day 1: pick up from Kigali and transfer to volcanoes national park.

You will be picked up from your accommodation in Kigali city, be briefed but our tour guide who will later take you on a Kigali city tour excursion visiting the Kigali genocide memorial and local crafts market.  Later after the visit you will embark on a drive to volcanoes national park. upon arrival you will check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay. If time allows you can visit ibyiwacu cultural village to have an experience of the Rwanda cultural.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and later transfer back to Kigali.

Early in the morning after breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking, later after the briefing and being assigned with the gorilla family to track from, you will later head to the jungle in search for the mountain gorillas.  The search can take any time from 1-4 hours depending on the proximity of the gorilla family you have been a signed to track from. The tracking exercise is rathe thrilling because of hikes and the expectation of meeting the gentle giants.  Upon meeting the gorilla, you will certainly be filled with as the feel of seeing and meeting them is overwhelming and bewildering, later you will interact with them for a maximum of one hours. Later exit the park and head back to lodge.  later you will check out and be transferred back to Kigali in time for your flight back home.
