3 Days Uganda gorilla trekking safari.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in Uganda, is home to mountain gorillas and is one of the world’s oldest forests at more than 25,000 years old; a 3-day Uganda Gorilla safari will take you there for gorilla trekking. One of the 12 habituated mountain gorilla groups will be available for your trekking pleasure depending on the trekking sector you will be assigned to trek from.

You won’t just get to see gorillas but other primates such as baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, and a variety of other monkey species. Over 350 bird species, including hornbills and Turacos, as well as 120 animal species, 51 reptile species, 310 butterfly species, 27 frog species, gecko species, chameleon species, 163 tree species, 104 fern species, 1000 blooming plant species, and more call this forest home.

Going on a gorilla walk can take anywhere from two to eight hours, but the time spent traveling through the verdant hills and forests is well worth it especially when you get to meet the gorillas, the experience is thrilling.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest National park.

After an early morning breakfast at 07:00hrs, Best of Uganda safari guide will pick  you up from any place of your  choice it could be Kampala , Entebbe or even Kigali Rwanda . Before heading to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda, you will receive a full briefing on the safari. You will stop by a village that specializes in making drums and other arts and crafts along the road.

The next stop is at the Equator, where you may take pictures and maybe pick up some trinkets on the way to Mbarara, the town where you’ll eat lunch. The next stop is Bwindi, where you’ll arrive in the late afternoon. Arrive at the lodge, unwind for the evening, and enjoy a hearty meal.

Day 2:  Gorilla trekking and optional batwa trail.

After a hearty breakfast, set out for the park’s headquarters, where rangers will brief you on the rules of the area and divide you into groups of 8. Next, follow the rangers’ instructions and begin your gorilla trekking experience with these gentle giants.

Seeing the Mountain gorillas in their natural habitat, engaging in behaviors like feeding, playing, and grooming, is an unforgettable and incredible experience. Depending on the gorillas’ schedule and where they choose to hang out, this may take as little as two hours or as long as eight. You should bring a walking stick because you will be required to trek great distances in muddy and steep circumstances. You’ll get to spend an hour taking pictures of the gorillas when you meet them.

After that, head back to the lodge for the night, where you can unwind as you choose or explore the nearby Batwa community to learn about the people and their culture through activities like dancing and listening to folk tales. Eat a meal and stay the night.

Day 3: Depart Bwindi and transfer back to Kampala.

Wind up your stay in Bwindi on a relaxed breakfast, you will later sign out and head back to Kampala or Kigali depending on which side you came from. When you arrive, you will be dropped at any place of your choice.
