This safari will take you through Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its beautifully sculpted landscape of rolling grassy hills and tranquil crater lake shores, teeming with diverse mammal species. Located in the extreme west, Queen Elizabeth National Park is considered one of the world’s most biodiverse wildlife sanctuaries. You’ll have the chance to see lions, leopards, chimpanzees, hippos, African elephants, and Cape buffaloes, not to mention enjoying a delightful launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel, making your safari truly memorable!
Day 1: Pick Up and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
On this day, our company driver-guide will meet you early in the morning at your designated pick-up point, and then you will depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have lunch en route or inside the park, depending on the timing. Upon reaching Kyambura, you can choose to enjoy an evening community walk among the local residents surrounding Queen Elizabeth National Park, or simply relax at the lodge and take in the stunning views.
Day 2: Full Day in Queen Elizabeth National Park – Game Drive and Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel
After an early morning breakfast, you will embark on a morning game drive within the park. Be prepared to spot the famous Big Five, including buffalo, elephants, and lions, as well as other mammals like giant forest hogs, bushbucks, kobs, hyenas, and waterbucks. In the afternoon, you will take a launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This is a fantastic opportunity to see large groups of elephants, hippos, buffaloes, and crocodiles. You will also encounter various bird species, including pelicans and the rare shoebill.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kalinzu and Transfer Back to Kampala/Entebbe
After an early breakfast, you will head to Kalinzu Forest for chimpanzee tracking, where you can observe our closest relatives in the wild. Witness these primates as they play, swing on tree branches, and interact with one another. After this exciting experience, you will begin your road trip back to Kampala, where you will be dropped off at your chosen location, such as your home or hotel, bidding farewell to the Ugandan wilderness.
